Assigning Unknown Transponders

Modified on Fri, 8 Sep, 2023 at 3:25 PM

If an unallocated transponder is detected, a low beep will be played, the transponder number will be shown with a red background in the latest passings panel and the competitor number will be shown as in the session details panel.  The transponder can be assigned to the relevant competitor either by clicking on the transponder number in the latest passings panel, or double clicking the relevant entry in the session details panel.  This will bring up the assign transponder panel.

Type the competitor number into the competitor number box.  This will show any competitor(s) matching the entered number along with either a green tick to indicate that the competitor has not been picked up and is safe to assign, or an orange triangle indicating that the competitor has already been seen. In this case, the transponder should only be assigned in cases where the competitor’s transponder is being changed mid race (e.g. in an endurance race). In all other cases this indicates that the competitor has the incorrect transponder assigned, so the transponder should first be unassigned, by double clicking the competitor and clicking the  button.   The transponder entries can now be double clicked to assign to the correct competitors.

Once the correct competitor has been identified, click on their entry and click the apply button.

Assigning competitors from another class

If a competitor for a class not expected in the session is detected (e.g. they missed their practice and have been added to another classes session) they can be allocated by ticking “Show competitors from all classes”, then selecting them as usual.
