Alpha Flow has an integration with Stripe Terminal card readers, allowing you to take physical card payments at you venue and have the payment status automatically recorded on the bill.
The recommended reader is the Stripe Wise POS E reader. You can order these through your Stripe dashboard (A).
To order or configure a terminal, log into the Stripe portal, then navigate to https://dashboard.stripe.com/terminal.
Once you have one or more terminals, you need to configure them. First you will need a location - click "the docs" (B) link in Stripe's Locations section to find out more.
Once you have a location, click on it to add the reader
Once you have added your reader(s), log into Alpha Flow, then go to Venue Settings, select your venue then click Payment Methods. Select the Stripe payment method you want to use, which will show the form below. Tick "Enable card readers", then click Save.
Now, when you click the Stripe payment button in the Point of Sale, you will be shown the screen below. At the top, there will be a button for each of your card readers, showing the name you entered when you configured the reader in the Stripe Dashboard. The buttons will be green if the reader is ready for use, and red if the reader is offline. Either click on the reader you want to use to take the payment, or click Enter card number manually to use the old way of typing the card details in.
Payment instructions will now be shown on the reader, and the following screen will be shown in Flow:
Once the payment is complete, you will be automatically returned to the POS screen. If for some reason you want to cancel the payment you can do so by clicking the cancel button.
