The Garage Module (Corporate only)

The Alpha Timing app has a garage module to help you manage your karts. This module is only available for circuits that use Karts with fixed transponders and fixed numberplates. It is not compatible with the Transponder Map. 

Maintenance Overview Screen

The maintenance overview screen can help you keep an eye on the status of all your karts as well as keeping a log of the Circuit Inspections too.  You can also select multiple karts to set their safety checks or fuelling status at once. 

	You can select multiple Karts by ticking the box in the top left
	Top right displays the number of laps of fuel left and bottom right when the Kart’s basic safety checks were carried out.
	Karts that are unavailable are greyed out and display a no entry sign in the bottom right.

Karts Screen - Creating and Editing Karts

On the Karts screen you can get the individual status of each Kart plus a record of its service history. You can create a new Karts by clicking the + New Kart button (A). As a minimum you'll need to set:

• Kart’s number (as shown on the number plate)
• Kart's Name (a unique name of your choice)
• Kart’s Transponder number
• Kart Type (chosen from your list of classes). 

You can optionally add the Kart's chassis number and engine number too plus some notes. You can then set the Kart as available or unavailable for use (B). Unavailable Karts will show a no-entry sign on Kart in the Garage module and will not be shown as available in the Timing module. If the kart will no longer be used it can be archived. 

At the top of the screen will be an overview of the laps, hours and fuel remaining. It will also show when its last safety checks were made. Below the Kart notes is a list of Service Items, replacement Components and a history of changes and notes (sent via the Web Garage Page) made on the Kart. These will be visible once they are created in the Garage Settings (see below). 

Garage Settings & Adding Mechanics

Before you’re able to manage the servicing of your Karts you’ll need to add a mechanic to the Garage. This will allow you to keep an Audit trail of who performed certain kart maintenance or track inspections. Click the Garage Settings tab and then on the left click “Add Mechanic” or click on a Mechanics name to change their name or Archive them.

You will then need to set the average number of laps per tank of fuel for each kart. For outdoor tracks it may be best to use a figure between your average dry laps and average wet laps.

At the bottom of the screen you can add service items or components for the Karts. A service item is something that needs to be inspected over several intervals e.g. brake pad inspection. The intervals can be the number of laps or the number of hours. 

Servicing Karts

On the Kart screen when you have created Service Items and Components you will see a button to mark that they have been changed or serviced. 

Select a Mechanic and then click the corresponding Serviced or Changed button to mark the item serviced or changed.  

There final column on the right will then keep track of all the services and component changes the Kart had with the date and mechanic’s name.
