Leaderboards

Leaderboards allow you to display the fastest laps from your venue, show on your Alpha Flow Portal page. To set up a leaderboard, go to venue settings and click on a venue. When setting up a new leaderboard, you must have timed at least one customer on each track and customer category before they will appear as an option in the dropdowns.

Click the leaderboards tab then click Add Leaderboard. You will need to enter the following information:

The name of the leaderboard which will be displayed in the list of leaderboards and will appear at the top of the leaderboard.

Sequence is the order the leaderboards will be displayed (lower numbers are displayed above higher numbers).

Select the track the leaderboard applies to.

You can restrict the kart type and/or session type the leaderboard applies to.

Then you must select the earliest date, or time period to show times from and you can select the latest date or time period (before the current day) to show times for.  Leave blank to show everything up to the current day.

Max rows to show is the maximum number of times to show (up to a maximum of 50)

Only public leaderboards will be shown on the flow website.  Private leaderboards can be linked to manually using the link shown at the top of the page (this is only shown when editing existing leaderboards).

Ticking Archive means the leaderboard will no longer be available to view

Note: the information required for the kart type and session type filters was not previously stored when results are uploaded from the timing.  You will need to install the latest timing update to start sending kart and session types, and this information will only be available for sessions run after the timing update was installed.  We are working on a tool to allow previous results to be updated with the kart and session types.

Viewing leaderboards

If you go to your venue’s page on the flow website (https://flow.alphatiming.co.uk) you will see a new button to show leaderboards.  If you edit an existing leaderboard in the venue settings screen, you will see a public link for that leaderboard.  You can use this to embed the board on your website. To embed it, create an iframe with the source (src) set to the URL shown on the leaderboard settings page. When embedding in an iframe, you can add ?__af_embed=1 to the end of the URL to remove the header, footer etc.
