Allocating Points for Grid Positions

You can create a points scheme that will issue points based on a competitors starting grid position (see here...). This is useful if a race is abandoned but you still want to issue points based on their grid positions, but make sure the Excluded, DNS and DNF boxes are left blank.

Once you have created the points scheme, go to the session where you want it to be used and click Tasks > Edit Session. In the heats or championship points scheme box, remove any existing points and replace with the Abandoned race points scheme.  

Click Save. Then click the Time Session button, green flag the race and then immediately chequered flag the session. The competitors will be shown as not starting, however they will then receive points based on their grid position. Once happy, you can issue the points and any grid calculations or championship tables will be updated.
