Till Printers & Cash Draws

Alpha Flow uses the Aures Receipt Printer software and can be used with any compatible printer (i.e. Epson TM-T20III). It can be downloaded from our Download Page. This software also needs to have the latest version of Microsoft dotnet (4.8 or later) to work as well as the printer drivers installed.

You need to be able to see the printer in your Window's Settings under Printers and Scanners so make sure the printer drivers are installed and the printer is connected to the PC, (and the Printer to the cash draw if applicable).

Once everything is installed open a web browser on the PC and type (or click if you are viewing this page on the PC) the following into the address bar: http://localhost:6715/settings

This will load the Settings page for the printer. Check that the correct printer is in the dropdown and that all the settings are correct. (For Epson printers the width should be 42).

Unable to load the Settings page or the Print button is missing from the Point of Sale.

If you cannot load the settings page (http://localhost:6715/settings), it could be that the printer software isn't working. This website does not require an internet connection and if the page loads a search engine, check you have got the URL correct.

Try re-starting the Aures software from the Windows Services app. The easiest way to find the Windows Services app is to search for it in the Start Menu.

Once you've opened Windows Services search for the Aures Service. Click on it to highlight it and then press the play button at the top of the window to start the service.

If the service is running you will see the Print button on the Point of Sale and will be able to access the Settings page (http://localhost:6715/settings).

The Printer is not listed on the Settings page

If the printer isn't listed in the dropdown it is either not installed on that PC, it is turned off or its cable has been unplugged etc. Check all the connections and see if you can see the printer listed in Window's Settings (Control Panel) under Printers and Scanners.

The cash draw will open if the payment method has been configured to open the draw when used. You can also open the draw by clicking the Open button on the Point of Sale. You can print a receipt at any time by clicking the Print button.
