Use Safari
Delete all other unnecessary apps from the iPad. In Safari go to https://ams.alphatiming.co.uk/registration
While you are in the Settings App on your iPad – we recommend changing the following options on your iPad to prevent any tampering by customers.
Allow Guided Access
Using Guided Access locks the iPads in one App. You can find more information about guided access specifically for your device here.
1. Go to Settings > Accessibility, then turn on Guided Access.
2. Tap Passcode Settings, then tap Set Guided Access Passcode.
3. Enter a passcode, then re-enter it. From here, you can also turn on Face ID or Touch ID as a way to end a Guided Access session.
4. Turn the Accessibility Shortcut OFF
5. Set Display Auto-Lock to Never. This will keep the iPad screen on throughout the guided access session. You must end the session to turn the iPad screen off at the end of the day to prevent screen burnout.
Starting the App
Once done click on the link in Safari to open the page.
- Triple Click the home button to show Guided Access.
- Press options in the bottom left and make sure only Keyboards and Touch are the only options set to On.
- Click done and then press Start. You may be prompted to put in your passcode. If you need to end Guided Access, Triple click the home button and enter your passcode.
- You should now see the Alpha login screen to enter your venue’s Registration Code and Password. You can find your venues registration code by going to Venue Settings and click on the Venue tab. You can also change the password, text and images within the Kiosk here too by clicking the Edit button.
When customers register via this kiosk they will appear in your Reception's registration queue.
