To sell a voucher to a customer in person or over the phone, go to you Point of Sale and click New Bill.
You have the option to record the customer’s details at the top of the bill. From the categories on the right select Vouchers to display the vouchers you have for sale.
Click the voucher from the list to add it to the bill. As long as the purchase price matches the redemption amount for a voucher product, you can also amend the unit price for a bill item for that product.
As an example, if you have a £10 voucher product with the redemption amount also £10 then you can edit the unit price to make any voucher amount you want. If however the redemption value is set differently to the purchase price on the voucher product i.e. voucher is sold at £10 but is worth £12, you can only change the quantity, otherwise it's not possible to calculate the correct voucher value.
You can then record a payment for the bill which on completion will generate the unique voucher code.
To send your vouchers, make sure the quantity and/or denominations are correct for each Voucher code and the balance of the bill is zero.
Click the Send Vouchers button to send the vouchers.
On the next screen you will see the voucher(s) from the Bill. Next to each voucher will be a select box so you can choose which vouchers you wish to send to the specified address. This is so a customer can buy multiple vouchers intended for different recipients on one bill.
Enter the recipient’s email, select the desired voucher(s), and then press Send.
You will see a green “Sent” flag next to the voucher that has been sent. If you have more vouchers, repeat the process again.
If you need to re-send a voucher, search for Bill on the Point of Sale screen to re-open it in the POS and click the send vouchers button to repeat the process.
