Example Awards Evening Tickets

This guide will help you to create tickets for an Awards Evening and sell them on your club’s Alpha site. 

Step 1:

Click Tickets and Passes from the manage menu on the left and click the blue + Add a category button. 

Step 2:

Give your category a name e.g. Awards Evening and then tick the “Show purchase buttons to customers” box so it is visible on a competitor’s profile page. You can then choose from the dropdown which section to add the tickets to i.e. Buy Stuff

Click Save Category to create.

Step 3:

Click the grey " + add Ticket" button to start creating your tickets.

Add a name for your ticket type, a short description and an image to use on the product page. This will be what the customer clicks to select the ticket. 

Then set the VAT rate to use for the ticket type and then a price (excluding VAT). You can also set a different price level depending on a person's membership by clicking the + Add New Price button. If you a providing free tickets for competitors, remember this is configured in the Event settings, not on the ticket itself. 

Step 4:

Once done click the blue Save button to create your ticket. You can then repeat Step 3 to create more ticket types for this category e.g. Child Tickets etc.

Step 5:

Next, create an event as you normally would for your Awards Evening. You will need to select a Season for the event but you do not need to add any classes. 

Step 6:

Scroll to the bottom of the Event Settings and click the + Add Ticket button to the select a ticket to add to this event. Configured the on sale date and end date for this ticket.

Step 7:

Each ticket type can have a maximum purchase limit. For example you can set a maximum purchase quantity of 10, so that an individual cannot purchase more than 10 tickets. Click Update Details button to add this ticket type to the event. 

Step 8:

Repeat step 7 to add anymore ticket types and if required, you can set a limit on the total tickets available. Click the Update Event to save your settings. 

And that’s it! You have now created an Awards Evening with tickets for sale. This will be shown on a competitors profile page (in the section assigned in step 2) and will appear publicly on your clubs Alpha page at the following URL: 

https://club.alphatiming.co.uk/tickets 

Remember to replace club with your unique Alpha subdomain.
